About David Raines Community Health Center
David Raines Community Health Centers (DRCHC) was founded in 1970 to provide healthcare services to underserved populations in Northwest Louisiana. It was established to address the gaps in care for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals, particularly in Shreveport, Bossier City, and surrounding rural areas.
In 1992, DRCHC became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which allowed the center to expand its services and offer affordable care based on income. Over the years, DRCHC grew to include primary care, dental services, pediatrics, behavioral health, and school-based health programs, further extending its reach to vulnerable communities.
Today, DRCHC operates multiple clinics, delivering comprehensive healthcare services to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay, and remains dedicated to reducing health disparities and improving access to quality care for all.
